Admotec brand RO resolvers from Avtron are frameless, brushless resolvers that provide high performance in measurement and feedback applications where traditional resolvers fail.
The solid-rotor construction enables higher RPMs and withstand higher vibration than conventional resolvers. This construction also allows exceptionally large through-bore shafts. The rotor can also be run "wet" while leaving the stator "dry", enabling embedded designs in pumps and other applications where pressures make internal wiring to the feedback device difficult or impossible.
Perfect for aerospace, down-hole and other severe applications, these solid-rotor resolvers offer original equipment manufacturers reliable solutions at any quantity—from prototype units all the way up to high-volume production. The solid construction makes custom-shaft mounting easy and flexible; custom bore sizes are simple to provide, and the standard stator sizes enable servo-clamp mounting.
The Rotasyn is much simpler than traditional brushless resolvers. Since the solid rotor has no coils and the stator has only half the number of windings of a traditional brushless resolver, reliability is significantly increased.
The Rotasyn resolver is mechanically and electrically compatible with traditional brushless resolver circuits and canreplace conventional resolvers as original equipment or in existing applications.
